Court Order Kit & read-only access
OnRecord gives attorneys, GALs, and mediators view-only access—a professional case brief, incident packets parents build, and verified PDF exports your client can share. Professionals cannot message parents or purchase a second parent seat. Confirm export integrity at onrecord.app/verify/{code} using the code on the PDF cover (no account required). Parents generate the full Court Order Kit inside the iOS app (Settings → Court record). This page mirrors that handout for printing or sharing.

Use of OnRecord
The parties shall use the OnRecord mobile application (or successor court-approved platform) as the exclusive method of written communication regarding the minor child(ren), except for emergencies requiring immediate verbal contact or as ordered by the Court. Each party shall maintain an active account, respond to schedule-change requests within forty-eight (48) hours, and not delete or alter messages once sent. Messages are immutable and timestamped.
Calendar & schedule changes
The parties shall enter the parenting schedule and custody exchanges in OnRecord. Proposed schedule changes shall be submitted through the in-app schedule-change request feature. A change is not effective until accepted by the other party or ordered by the Court. Either party may export the shared calendar to personal calendar software (iCal) for convenience; the OnRecord log remains the authoritative record.
Expenses & documentation
Shared child-related expenses shall be logged in OnRecord with amount, category, due date, and receipt when available. Disputes shall be noted in the expense record; payment outside the app does not remove the ledger entry.
Export for court
Either party may generate a PDF court record export covering messages (by topic thread), calendar events, custody exchange chronicle entries, and expenses for a date range. Each export includes a cryptographic manifest and verification code printed on the cover; counsel may confirm file integrity at the OnRecord verification portal without an account. Exports are suitable for mediation, hearing exhibits, or attorney review.
Communication standards
The parties are encouraged to use OnRecord's Record Check and topic routing guidance before sending messages that become part of the immutable record. Routine parenting matters shall be placed in the appropriate topic thread (Schedule, Expenses, Medical, School, Travel, Emergency, or General) as defined in the app.
Emergency communications
Urgent child safety or medical matters may be sent in an Emergency topic thread. Routine parenting matters shall not be sent as emergency messages. Push notifications may be limited to emergency topics when a party enables that setting.
Verified exports
Each court PDF includes a verification code and manifest hash. Enter the code at the public verification page to confirm the file matches what OnRecord registered at export time. This supports chain-of-custody conversations—it does not determine admissibility or authenticity of underlying facts.
What OnRecord records
- Timestamped, immutable messages organized by topic (Schedule, Expenses, Medical, School, Travel, Emergency, General).
- Record Check advisory flags before send; optional order-aware topic routing warnings.
- Read receipts showing when the co-parent viewed a message.
- Shared calendar events including custody exchanges, with exchange chronicle (arrived, transferred, departed) and schedule-change requests (propose, accept, decline).
- Cooperation ledger statistics for schedule changes (factual counts, not a parenting score).
- Expense ledger with status (pending, approved, disputed, paid, overdue), due dates, and receipt attachments; mutual agreement events when both parents approve.
- Incident packets curated by a parent for counsel review.
- Verified court PDF export with SHA-256 manifest, verification code, exchange chronicle section, and optional on-device summary assist (not legal advice).
- Professional read-only access with in-app case brief (factual summary for counsel).
- Invite code linking both parents to one case.
- Account and case metadata (display names, export timestamps) — not edited message bodies.
Platform note: OnRecord is iOS-only today. Both co-parents need the app for full value. See honest limits on the home page.
